Update: EditMe Kiva Lending Program
Tuesday, December 4, 2007
As promised in the original post about EditMe's Kiva lending program, here is an update. Today marks EditMe's 50th Kiva loan.
The 50th loan went to Mr. and Mrs. Jara of Guayaquil, Ecuador. They make and sell clothing, and you can see some of their work hanging behind them in the photo. They are seeking a loan to purchase more raw materials and a new sewing machine to grow their business.
Since announcing the program, many customers have changed to pre-paid 6 and 12 month plans. This money is what funds the lending program, so thanks to all of you who have switched.
