Product Update: "Newton" Family of Skins
Thursday, October 18, 2007
As promised in Sunday's post, the new skins are now available. These skins give EditMe a fresh new look and use CSS positioning instead of tables. Things to note about the Newton family include:
- The new design spreads out the typically centralized Tools menu. Look for the Settings link in the footer, for example.
- There are also two extra navigation areas that can be changed easily using EditMe's page editor.
- The main design is offered with 5 different color schemes. Each color scheme uses the same Layout.
- The Newton layouts include a Layout Help page that contains links to edit the two new navigation areas.
- The Site Title is split to accommodate a sub-title (see the Layout Help page).
These skins are based upon a Creative Commons open source design. The designer asks that his attribution link remain in the footer. Look for more great CC designs coming in the near future.
To apply one of these to your EditMe site, login as an Administrator, then click Settings and select Skins from the Look & Feel menu.
