Today EditMe released an updated set of pricing plans. These plans provide significantly more value, particularly for customers with multiple EditMe sites, and focus more on differentiating features.

Existing Sites Unchanged

If you created one or more EditMe sites before today, your old pricing and feature set still applies for all of your sites as long as you keep your current plans. One of the new plans can be applied to any existing site by simply upgrading or downgrading using the account manager - this includes "upgrading" to the site's current plan. New sites within existing accounts will select from the new pricing plans.

Primary vs. Secondary Sites

The new pricing rewards customers with multiple EditMe sites in one account by discounting additional sites by about 50%. The full price will will be applied to the oldest site with the highest plan - all other sites within an account will receive the lower discount rate. This applies to all plans except for Starter.

No More Hard Bandwidth Limits

The previous pricing plans limited bandwidth utilization on sites, and put a hard stop on the site if that limit was exceeded. This policy has been revoked, effective immediately, for all sites.

The goal is that 99.9% of EditMe customers should never have to think about bandwidth. The rare customer whose EditMe site receives massive amounts of traffic will be contacted before any action is taken.

EditMe still monitors bandwidth utilization and may require an upgrade if the very generous bandwidth limitations set forth in the Terms of Use are exceeded. However, this does not happen automatically, and the customer will always be notified before any action is taken.

New Dedicated Option

For customers with extremely large or busy sites, or for those who prefer not to have their site operating in a shared environment, EditMe now offers a dedicated option. This option provides a private server instance for your site(s), exposes a control panel to create and delete sites, and places all sites within the customers domain name space (e.g. SITENAME.yourdomain.com instead of SITENAME.editme.com). Service Level Agreement

The Premium and Dedicated plans both include a new 10X guaranteed service level agreement that provides 99.9% availability with refunds or credits available upon request when this goal is not met during a given month. For qualifying customers, EditMe will expose data from a third-party monitoring service to be used as the benchmark. See the Terms of Use for details.
