User Registration & Management Customization Module

A customized registration formEditMe is pleased to announce immediate availability of a customized module to provide customized and more robust user management tools for your EditMe site. Unlike other modules, this one is customized to your exact specifications rather than installed via the built-in Modules mechanism.

This customization is performed as a fixed price professional services project, and acts as a base of functionality for advanced user management.

The following features are included in the User Management Customization Module.

Registration Form Customization

EditMe's default registration form is simple and quick. The idea is to encourage people to register with a quick, no-hassle process. Some customers, however, want to use their EditMe Registration form to collect additional information about their users.

Once purchased, you will be able to define the specific fields of information you want to prompt for on your site's Registration form. These can be text fields, drop downs, check boxes, etc. and can be marked as required or not. This work is done specifically for your site, so you can be quite creative with your Registration form.

User Import and Export to Excel

An Import feature allows you to upload an Excel file containing user information, including all of your custom fields, to add and/or update user information in bulk. An Export function will create an Excel file that can be used as a template for adding additional users or editing information for existing users.

Users can still be exported to XML via the existing Site Export Module.

User Search & Sort

In order to accomodate large databases of users in EditMe, your site's Users management page will prompt for a search by default instead of listing all users at once. You can still list all users by simply submitting a blank search. Your search will be customized based on your custom fields.

Matching users will be listed along with selected custom fields in a paged and sortable table.

The site's Groups feature will also use this enhanced interface for selecting users to add to a given Group.

Fixed Cost Project

These features can be added to a site, along with up to 15 custom fields of your choice, for a one time fee of $1,500. Copying this customization to additional EditMe sites at project completion is included. After the project is completed, the customization can be copied to additional sites for $160 per site.

Additional Site Customization

You may wish to display some of your custom field data elsewhere on the site, such as in Comment lists, Version History, or email notifications. Or you might want to create a more complex branching registration process. These additional requirements will be defined as part of your project and added to the base fixed project price.
