If you live in the Seattle area, you've probably heard about the Seeds of Compassion conference going on there in April. The conference is  "a 5-day gathering to engage the hearts and minds of our community by highlighting the vision, science, and programs of early social, emotional, and cognitive learning."  His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama will be participating at the event, both as a speaker and panelist with leading educators, researchers and policy makers. Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds will also be there to perform. The conference was met with an overwhelming response and, after selling all available tickets, is now extending its reach with broadcasts and web feeds.

EditMe is thrilled to be hosting the conference's wiki. The wiki.seedsofcompassion.org site prompts visitors to introduce themselves, pose a question to the Dalai Lama, and share ideas about compassion, barriers to compassion, and personal commitments to "help nurture kindness and compassion in the world with a special focus on children." The site also provides an online catalog and meeting place for all the workshops and events going on at the conference.
